Report: Departmental Activity : Microbe Carnival
The Microbe Carnival was successfully organized by the students of the department on 20/09/2025
with the objective of promoting awareness and interest in microbiology through creative and
interactive activities. The event was entirely planned and conducted by the students, showcasing
their organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Various academic and co-curricular activities were conducted during the carnival, including a quiz
competition, rangoli making, treasure hunt, and agar art competition. The quiz competition focused
on basic and applied aspects of microbiology, encouraging participants to test and enhance their
subject knowledge. The rangoli-making activity allowed students to express scientific concepts
creatively using traditional art forms.
The treasure hunt activity was designed with clues related to microbiological terms and laboratory
practices, making learning engaging and enjoyable. The agar art competition provided students with
hands-on exposure to creative microbial plating techniques, combining scientific understanding with
artistic expression.
Overall, the Microbe Carnival was an informative and engaging event that created an interactive
