The Diploma in Geoinformatics is a one-year, two-semester program offered by M. G. Science Institute, Ahmedabad, affiliated with Gujarat University. This program is designed to provide a strong foundation in geoinformatics, integrating geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and computer programming. The curriculum follows an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) pattern as per UGC guidelines. Students will develop technical skills in spatial data analysis, digital image processing, and database management, making them proficient in handling geospatial technologies.

Students will gain foundational knowledge of computers, operating systems, and MS Office tools, along with skills in basic programming and biostatistics. They will also perform practical computer assignments to strengthen computational proficiency.

Principles of Satellite Remote Sensing and Digital Image Processing (Theory + Practical)
Learners will understand the fundamentals of remote sensing and electromagnetic radiation. They will gain hands-on experience in digital image processing techniques including radiometric and geometric corrections, and handling remote sensing datasets.
