• Recall the types of microorganisms and the role played by them in air and water
• Understand the importance of sanitation of air in different indoor environmental settings
• Apply the knowledge of microorganisms to design the purification of raw water
• Understand the different methods for treatment of waste water along with the ways of disposal of solid waste
• Evaluate the quality of different water samples based on the values given for different parameters
• Propose eco-friendly ways and means for disposal of wastewater. Plan different screening methods for isolating desired microorganism from environment.
