• Describe the scope of Zoology, taxonomic hierarchy and differences between chordates and non-chordates.
• Explain principles of genetics using charts and analyze genetic problems, including Mendelian and non-Mendelian inheritance.
• Prepare and observe protozoan cultures and examine Paramecium for binary fission and conjugation through whole mounts. Illustrate the anatomy and histology of the human digestive system and perform tests like salivary amylase action on starch.
• Analyze the dentition in mammals through specimens and charts and interpret dental formulas for species like human, horse and dog.
• Locate wildlife sanctuaries and national parks of Gujarat on a map, and identify field animal evidence like pugmarks and nests.
• Compile a field report after visiting a zoological park, documenting observations and conservation insights.
