The Department of Data Science at M. G. Science Institute organized an expert session titled “Basics of Data Science & Analysis” on 14th December 2024. The session was conducted by Dr. Heena Timani, Founder and Director of iAnanya Datalytix, and a seasoned expert in the field of data science. Held at Theatre 5, the session aimed to introduce students to the key concepts of data collection, exploratory data analysis (EDA), data modeling, and the role of statistics and probability in interpreting data. Dr. Timani engaged students through real-world examples, including Market Basket Analysis and Excel data management, to explain complex ideas in a simplified manner. The session was highly informative, interactive, and aligned with the institute’s focus on skill-based learning and employability. It was well-received by the students and faculty, providing a strong foundation for further exploration in the domain of data science.
