The Department of Biotechnology, under its Biotech Corner initiative, organized a guest lecture on 28th December 2024 titled “Competitive Exams in Life Sciences and Strategies for Qualifying.” The session was conducted by Dr. Dalipsingh Rathod, Scientific Officer Class II, Government of Gujarat – a mentor and expert in guiding students for national-level competitive exams like UGC-NET, JRF, GPSC, GATE, and more.

Held in Theatre 5 of the institute, the session highlighted various opportunities available to life sciences graduates through competitive examinations. Dr. Rathod offered insights into exam formats, preparation strategies, recommended resources (like NPTEL, Coursera, etc.), and real-world motivation drawn from successful aspirants.

The lecture was well-received by students, sparking active discussion and questions related to career paths in research, academia, industry, and study abroad options. Students expressed appreciation for the clarity, direction, and encouragement received through the session.
