Report on “Pariksha Pe Charcha” – A Mental Health Awareness Program for Students

On 10th September 2025 (Wednesday), the NSS and NCC Units of M.G. Science Institute, Ahmedabad (Autonomous) successfully organized a Mental Health Awareness Workshop under the theme “Pariksha Pe Charcha – Share, Learn & Cope: Stress, Emotions & You”. The program was held in the institute’s auditorium (Th. 05) from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

The session focused on the challenges faced by students during examinations, effective management of emotions, and the importance of mental health care. Students were encouraged to openly share their experiences, concerns, and stress-related issues, while receiving valuable insights and guidance from mental health professionals.

Highlights of the Program

  • The session concluded with words of encouragement for students to prioritize both their academic goals and mental well-being.

Conclusion

The workshop proved to be highly beneficial for the students of M.G. Science Institute. It created a safe space for open discussions about mental health, reduced the stigma associated with emotional struggles, and equipped students with practical coping mechanisms for examinations and beyond.

The event was a great success, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the NSS & NCC Units, guidance from the Principal Dr. J.H. Parikh, and the dedicated organization by Mr. Nilesh Muliya (NSS Program Coordinator) and Lt. Pankajkumar Parmar (NCC Officer).
