Report on Blood Donation Camp

The NSS and NCC Units of M. G. Science Institute, Ahmedabad (Autonomous), in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society (Ahmedabad District Branch), organized a Blood Donation Camp on 18th September, 2025 (Thursday) at GLR, M. G. Science Institute, Ahmedabad. The camp was successfully conducted between 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, faculty, and non-teaching staff. A total of 30 bottles of blood were collected by the Red Cross Blood Bank.

Significantly, three faculty members – Dr. Amit Rokad, Mr. Pankaj Parmar, and Mr. Alpesh Chhabar – also came forward and donated blood, setting a remarkable example for the students. Many NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, and college students actively donated blood, showcasing their sense of social responsibility.

The principal of the college, along with the non-teaching staff, extended full support, ensuring the smooth and successful organization of the camp. Certificates of Appreciation were given to all donors as a token of gratitude.

The event highlighted the noble cause of blood donation, spreading the message that “A single drop of blood can make a huge difference” and “Blood donation costs you nothing, but saves a life.”

Overall, the Blood Donation Camp was a grand success, reflecting the unity, dedication, and humanitarian spirit of the M. G. Science Institute family.
