TREE PLANTATION ON THE OCCASION OF GURU PURNIMA

On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, the Botany Department of M.G. Science Institute, Ahmedabad, organized a Tree Plantation Drive on campus to promote environmental awareness and express gratitude to our teachers, the “Guru” who guide us.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students and faculty members. Everyone gathered in the botanical garden area, where the plantation activity was initiated with a short address highlighting the importance of trees and the significance of Guru Purnima in Indian culture.

Under the guidance of faculty members, students planted various saplings. The collective effort created a vibrant atmosphere filled with dedication and environmental spirit. Everyone took the oath for plant growing and taking parts in Environmental conservation and preservation. The activity also served as a practical learning experience for the students, especially those studying Botany.

After the plantation, all participants came together to celebrate the occasion. A snack was served to everyone, marking a warm conclusion to a meaningful event. The program ended with a group photo session and a vote of thanks to the organizing team and participants.

The event not only contributed to the greener future of the campus but also reinforced the values of respect, care, and responsibility towards nature and our mentors.
