Dr. Manish Kumar B. Thaker is a distinguished academician and researcher in the field of Statistics, with over 30 years of teaching experience. He is currently an Associate Professor and Head of the Statistics Department at M.G. Science Institute, Ahmedabad. He earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from Gujarat University in 2000, focusing on Production Functions and Their Applications to Indian Data. He is a recognized Ph.D. guide at Gujarat University, two students have completed their Ph. D. under his guidance. 

His research spans are Mathematical Statistics, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Applied Statistics, and Operations Research, with numerous publications in reputed journals. His expertise includes data analytics, statistical modelling, and financial forecasting. He has guided two Ph.D. scholars and M.Sc. students in their research work.

Dr. Thaker has organised a national level conference in 2010 at the institute, he has also organised multiple training programs in SPSS software. 

Dr. Thaker has been actively involved in national and international conferences, delivering lectures on statistical methodologies, research methodology, and applied data science. He is also a member of the Indian Econometric Society, Gujarat Statistical Association, and Gujarat Science Academy.
