Dr. Paras M. Solanki is an Associate Professor and Head of the Geology department. He is the life member of nine reputed national level associations/societies like Indian Society of Remote Sensing (ISRS), Palaeontological Society of India (PSI), Indian Association of Sedimentologists (IAS), Indian Society of Earthquake Sciences (ISES), Indian Society of Geomatics (ISG) etc. Dr. Solanki has guided 05 Ph.D. students successfully and 07 students are pursuing their Ph.D. under his guidance at the Gujarat University. He guided several students for their M. Sc. dissertation thesis since the academic year 2012-13. More than 80 students have presented their research papers (oral/poster presentations) in various seminars/symposium/conferences at International/National/State level. He served as a visiting faculty at the institutions like CEPT university, Nirma University, Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (GIDM) etc.
