It is my great honour and pleasure to welcome you to M.G. Science Institute, Ahmedabad—an institution that is not just a college, but a living legacy of excellence in science education.
Founded in 1946 under the visionary guidance of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and through the generous contributions of illustrious families like the Mafatlal Gagalbhai and Kasturbhai Lalbhai families, this institute was established with the sole purpose of empowering generations of learners through scientific knowledge. As part of the prestigious Ahmedabad Education Society, M.G. Science Institute has played a pivotal role in shaping the scientific temperament of Gujarat and the Nation at large.
From its humble beginnings, the institute has grown into a centre of academic brilliance. With an ‘A’ grade accreditation by NAAC across three cycles, cutting-edge laboratories, a partially digitalized library, and a lush 19.2-acre green campus, we offer an environment where curiosity is nurtured, innovation is encouraged, and excellence is achieved.
We are proud of our illustrious alumni, including renowned scientists, industry leaders, and educationists—many of whom began their journey in these very classrooms and laboratories. Our historical contributions to institutions like ISRO further reflect the impactful foundation laid here.

From June 2024, the institute has proudly entered a new era of academic autonomy, giving us the flexibility to design more innovative and industry-relevant curricula while continuing to benefit from the heritage and rigor that define our identity.
